The Surry County Office of Substance Abuse, known as SCOSAR, provides prevention, transportation and recovery to work services.

SCOSAR also provides support to the Emergency Medical Services, Criminal Justice Systems and local Community Agencies in efforts to reduce the impact of substance use and behavioral health issues.

Early Intervention

Partnering with Media Detective, we offer innovative media literacy education that reduces early age initiation of substance use.

Training Affiliataions 

SCOSAR collaborates with leading organizations like the Addiction Policy Forum, Connecticut Center For Recovery Training, and Mental Health First Aid USA to provide you with the best training and technical assistance opportunities. 

Youth Programs

Empowering the next generation is crucial. Through programs like Girls Circle and Catch My Breath, we aim to inspire and educate young minds for a brighter future.
